It’s pretty clear that you can save a lot of money by switching to new, energy saving windows from The Glass Experts. But what if we were to tell you that that’s not the end of the story – you can save even more through an energy saving windows tax credit! With tax season upon us, this is the perfect time to be thinking about getting tax credits. If you have installed energy saving windows from January of 2012 to the end of December 2014, you may be eligible to get money back from the government to reimburse you for your responsible choice!
Qualifications: You have to have bought EnergyStar windows. Other brands of energy saving windows are great for saving you money on your utilities bills, but only windows with the EnergyStar brand are eligible for the tax credit. If you applied for the tax credit for 2013 you may still be eligible for the tax credit for 2014; ask a professional tax expert to find out for sure.
Rewards: You can receive up to 10% reimbursement for the cost of buying energy saving windows. The cost of installation is not included, just the price you paid for the windows.
Caps: The reimbursement cap for each window is $200. The reimbursement cap in total is $500.
